SmartBUY

SmartBUY is a government-wide software licensing initiative, directed by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).  The General Services Administration (GSA) is designated the Executive Agent under Section 5112(e) of the Clinger-Cohen Act. SmartBUY maximizes the buying power of the government and decreases the cost of widely used commercial software by obtaining optimal pricing through the aggregation of software requirements and the most favorable terms and conditions. The Department of Energy (DOE) fully supports and complies with the SmartBUY initiative.
