The mission of the E-mail Support Services (ESS) team is to provide a reliable, virus free messaging environment for the Headquarters user community at the Department of Energy. The ESS team engineers and operates the E-Mail Infrastructure that provides messaging interoperability among the disparate platforms in use at Headquarters and provides a standards based Directory of all Headquarters' users.

The ultimate goal of E-Mail Support Services Team is to maintain 99.9% service availability.
